Breaking News: Sister Ann is in Labor

We received word that Angela is having contractions. The midwife and doula are in route; Will has initiated the Bradley support plan for “active labor,” and I’m sure the dogs are wondering what the hell is happening to their mom. Red Sky Lashoher shall be revealing his or her gender shortly. For the record, my guess is un petit garcon.

This is a big day for Bec and me. Not only do we gain a niece or nephew, but it is also a wonderful three month reminder that Zoe is coming soon! The preparation continues: baby bedding arrived and the baby room paint selection has been narrowed down to two, lavendar or lavendar-lite. We also finished a 5 hour Lamaze class. The big message communicated to all male participants was labor hurts! We await a call from Angela for a first hand account. Our thoughts and prayers are in Vers Croix, France.

This would all be very bearable if they were freaking out too, but so far labor seems like a wine and cheese party. I guess that's the french influence. Maybe they knew what they were doing when they left Baltimore: labor there might have been guns, drugs, and helicopters.
