The first week of day care was a learning experience.










For instance, we learned mixing certain strains of bacteria with certain babies can result in a visit to the hospital. Luckily for us, Austin is home to one of the nations finest: Dell Children's

It was a hard couple of days, but could have been much worse.

Zoey had to get antibiotics through an IV. It took a couple of sticks to get a vein. She was not happy about it but she forgave them when she saw her sleeping accommodations.

This is a state of the art multi purpose crib: perfect for sleeping or incarceration.

That's our Doc. The smiles are because we just got results that spared Zoey a spinal tap and a much longer stay.

We feel lucky to be home and blessed to have a healthy little girl. After seeing so many sick kids in the hospital, I will always be aware that there are many people living a less happy story.
